The MCR Dwarf cars make their way back to the High Banked, High Speed oval of Mid-Michigan Speedway; formerly Springport Motor Speedway; on May 30th, 2009.

On MCR’s last visit to MMS, 21 Dwarf Cars hit the track for qualifying wih Craig “the kid” Curtis turning in a 16:41 for fast time. 2007 and 2008 season champ “the hot shoe” Eric Hoffman out of Grand Rapids, Mi was next at 16:48.

At feature time, sitting on the pole was Brain Insley and the field down to the green flag. Craig Curtis took the point early and never looked back winning the Feature. Jon “the Flash” Wylie, Nick Shanks, Joe McManman and Gregg Campell rounded out the Top Five.

In 2009 the Midwest Classic Racing Association will begin it’s 15th year with over 150 members in Michigan and surrounding states. It is responsible for the promotion
of Dwarf Car Racing and the management of over 25 events per season at 10 different tracks in the series.

MCR has grown dramatically, and made great strides in Dwarf Car Racing in the past 15 years. MCR is a private corporation, with volunteers that contribute their time,experience and knowledge to the promotion of the organization.
