With many people on had for "bee" day at Kinross, the track really started shaping up for opening night. New pit slabs were poured, grounds were leveled, leaves raked and repairs were made. New for 2009 will be a seperate tech area for the 4 cylinder cars, which will be located right next to the scale pad at the track. The new American Racer tires are in, and will be available at Denny's Auto Body durring normal business hours, or at the track on race day. I was also able to find out that a full field of cars is expected opening night. Nearly 25 cars have comitted to both the late models and modified classes, and also 15 plus cars for each of the other classes. The car show that was scheduled for May 9-10th was canceled do to scheduling conflicts and will be made up at a later date to be anounced soon. Aaron's Sales and leasing of Sault Ste Marie Michgan has also decided to return to the line up as both a track and event sponser this season as well. With all of this being said, gear up and strap in, and come out to the track and let Kinross blow you out of your seat with the action every Friday night!
