Michigan Native Brad Keselowski wins Aaron's 499 at Talledaga

2009-nscs-brad-keselowski-car1

In a race that some fans are calling one of the best finishes in recent Cup memory, Dale Earndhardt Jr Protege Brad Keselowski won Sunday at Talladega. Keselowski won the Aaron’s 499 after he and Carl Edwards got together sending Edwards airborne into the catchfence and into Ryan Newman. On the cool-down lap, Edwards ran across the finish line (Shades of Ricky Bobby) to finish the race and Kyle Busch spun out Brad Keselowski.

Rookie Brad Keselowski was pushing Carl Edwards through the last lap until they came through the tri-oval toward the checkered flag.

That's when Keselowski, 25, made his move, Edwards tried to block and got turned. Edwards flew up into the fence in a crash reminiscent of Bobby Allison's bad crash at Talladega in 1987.

Edwards got out of his car and ran across the finish line.

Keselowski earned his first career Sprint Cup win for the team owned by James Finch. Dale Earnhardt Jr. was second with Ryan Newman third and Marcos Ambrose fourth.

Rookie Scott Speed got is career best fnish with a fifth.
