We are heading into August and time is running out to get to Kalamazoo Speedway to check out the shows that are putting together. Lets be honest, there is still a lot of opportunity left but there is so much to see that you wont want to miss out on any of it. With the Monster Trucks in town I wanted to take this time to look forward in the schedule and let those people, who may not live in the area, know why they should take a drive to Kalamazoo Speedway for the weekly shows. Here is what fans can see in August.
August 1 is going to be the King of the Mods along with Pure Stock Cash Bash. The USA Modifieds will be putting on a hard charging show that is hard to miss on a paved track. The Pure Stocks are having their main event for the year and with the points lead between Lloyd Brooks No. 22 and Matt Noble No. 3 so close you'll be sure to see them fighting it out.
August 8 is Cyber Mania. A full five in one showcases the Cyber Stock division. These guys are serious and the top runners are close. Some of the best finishes of the year have come from the class. With Vintage Racers and Old Timers night the evening will be packed and highly competitive. This Saturday night event is the start of a a lot of racing within a week.
August 12 is Kalamazoo Klash XVII. Practice for this event is the afternoon before from 4-8 and is free. The race on Wednesday night is the wildest show for the Outlaw Super Late Model's. This is the night that you will not want to miss. This is a perfect opportunity to pack night before and head out after work or whatever you have planned and take a break during the middle of the week.
August 15 is and Enduro race. The track will be packed with cars and it becomes a fight to the finish. The last enduro race was won by the third place car being able to outlast the front runners. The night will also include free bus rides and a powder puff race. This is a fun night and a long race where no one knows what will happen.
The rest of the month are normal full shows and are everybit exciting. These nights will be focused on the fans as August 22 will have a bunch of fan specials and August 29 is autograph night. The cars will be out on the track and fans can walk up and down getting the drivers to sign autographs before the races.
