One of the nicest nights of the year allowed for some great racing at Thunderbird Raceway. A great car count gave the fans plenty of action.
The UMP Modifieds proved to be very exciting with three heat races and a B-main needing to be run to decide the feature line up. When the dust settled it was Greg Smith No. 88 with the feature win. Point leader John McCaul No. 27 finished second with Dean Wilkerson No. 78 rounding out the top three. Dan Dykman No. 35, Derek Poland No. 13 and Jimmy Hale Jr. No. 7M scored heat race wins. Brian Roark No. 5 was the winner of the B-main.
Winning the feature in the UMP Sportsman was Kody Weisner No. 16. Kody was followed across the line by Matt Sprague No. 10 in second place and Point leader Dean Barnhard No. 18 in third while driving Jeremy Holmans car.
Heat race winners were Chad Weinrick No. 20 and Mike Gunion No.77.
The Ump Warrior division saw Paul Whipple No. 10 take the feature win. Harley Farkle No. 58 and Sparkle Farkle No. 55 completed the top 3. Sparkle also scored the heat win.
The Ump Factory Stock feature showed a lot of side by side action. In the end it would be Dean Wilkerson No. 21 leading the field to win the feature event. Point leader Bill May No. 72 took the second place honors and Mike Pickard No. 18 completed the top three. Bill May No. 72 and Dean Rake No. 22 won the heat races.
