Under very threatening skies, Toledo Speedway managed to complete the entire Opening Night program Friday with some great action in the Sportsman, Factory Stock and 4 Cylinder classes.
Terry Jones, from Ontario, took the checker in a wild 35 lap Sportsman Feature. Howard Kelley Jr. and Ron Allen had a torrid duel for 2nd with Kelley coming out ahead. Jim Froling was the driver to watch as he quickly moved up from his 7th starting position to 2nd place in only 6 laps and was right on Jones bumper waiting to make his move. Unfortunately for Froling, he spun out in Turn 3 attempting to avoid a lapped car and was only able to get back up to fifth.
Cory McCaughey took an exciting win in the Factory Stocks going from 3rd to 1st on the last lap. Kevin Little won the B Main.
Matt Brazeau took the win in the 4 cylinder class.
Next Sunday at Toledo is the exciting ARCA ReMax Series Menards 200 with both Ken Schrader and Paul Menard competing.
