One of New Paris Speedway’s most up-and-coming Mini Stock rookies this year is the green and black No. 13 of ‘The DareDevil’ Davie Renbarger. “I started coming to New Paris Speedway to watch Bobby and Rodney Archer race when I was in Diapers.” Davie is a long way from diapers now as the loving father of adorable 6 year old Kierstin.

“I was originally going to run Street Stocks but then Scott Johnson put me in his Mini Stock a few times last year and I just really enjoyed it so I decided to get into Mini’s.” Not only is Davie a nice guy on and off the track, he is a sponge. He is willing to learn and he is not afraid to admit that he knows little but wants to know more. “My inspiration is Kevin Grubb who drives the No. 14 Mini Stock. He has helped me out so much this year. He has so much knowledge and I am constantly learning from him. I started out this season qualifying 17.7’s and thanks to Kevin, I am now down to 16.7’s.”

“My goal for this year is to get Rookie of the Year and as for the future, I am keeping my options open. The sky is the limit. I just love to make friends and love to race. I don’t get in to all the fighting. I believe that if you have a racecar and you put it on the track then be willing to race the wheels off it. I am a firm believer in leaving my anger over a race on the track.” If this year is any indication of Davie’s racing career then he is going to be a force to be reckoned with as he already has 2 feature wins and 1 heat win under his belt.
